Operation Homefront Project in Yorktown Virginia

We are proud to be working with Operation Homefront and Sage Custom Contracting to restore a flooded home of a fellow veteran. Here are some of the job survey pictures of the flood damage and we will be posting “finished” pictures soon!

But YOU need to know about Operation Homefront!

“We are here when service members often have no where else to turn,” says Carol Berg Executive Director of Operation Homefront Hampton Roads.  Serving junior enlisted military families in pay grades E1 to E6,  Operation Homefront provides emergency financial assistance to service members, families and wounded warriors in all five uniformed services.  Founded in California in 2002 by a Navy spouse who saw young military spouses struggle as their service members were deploying overseas after Sept. 11th, Operation Homefront was in it’s newest stages  and by 2011 has grown to 24 chapters across the United States.

Operation Homefront Hampton Roads serves the largest concentration of military in a metropolitan area in the US and serves as home to the largest Navy base in the world, Norfolk Navy Base.  “We exist solely on the generosity of the American people.  Our funding comes from individual/corporation donations and foundation grants”, said Berg.  Operation Homefront receives no government funding and provides eligibile service members the opportunity to ease their financial burden with grants and not loans.  Service to our military is often provided within 24 to 72 hours and military members can concentrate on their duty knowing that their families are being taken care of at home.  We can fix the car, help with rent and utilities, put on the table when the budget is tight and we can provide more and other support like back to school supplies and holiday assistance when it’s often needed most.
